The ENSHU GE590H horizontal machining center is the latest generation state-of-the-art high speed machining center. This machine will exceed the demands of any manufacturer with high volume, high precision machining needs. The compact size consumes very little valuable floor space while the blazing speed will deliver more parts per hour than competitive machines costing thousands more.
The machine is a XY traveling column type design where the pallet moves in Z. The APC unit, located in front of the machine, provides easy access and slashes idle time. The APC is a rotary type pallet changer and it exchanges the pallets in only 15 seconds. For pallet rotation in the machining envelope, the standard .001 degree full B axis precisely indexes the pallet with only a 1.27 second 90 degree index time and 1.43 second 180 degree index time. A 4 cone hydraulic clamping mechanism with air seat confirmation is used to clamp the pallet in place for excellent repeatability.
The GE590H features a ultra rigid Meehanite cast iron frame with an advanced 3 point leveling system. The 50mm (1.97”) diameter gun-drilled ballscrews are class 3 with a double nut pre-loaded and pre-tensioned design allowing a blazing rapid traverse rate of 1969 inches per minute. Furthermore, high speed acceleration drastically reduces non-cut time (X,Y,Z acc/dec of 0.62G). The ballscrews are drilled through to allow chilled fluid to circulate through them as well as the motor mounts. The chilled motor mounts dissipate any heat generated by the servo motors
At the heart of the machine is our high power integral spindle with 10,000 RPM and spindle acceleration from 0-10000 in just 3.8 seconds. Our powerful spindle generates up to 60HP while producing 460 ft./lbs. of torque at 460 RPM. To enhance milling capabilities, a Big Plus dual contact spindle is standard. 256 PSI coolant through the spindle is also standard
The standard 78 station automatic tool changer provides ultra fast tool selection. Tool change time is only 2.3 seconds tool to tool and average chip to chip time is only 4.8 seconds. The ATC system is a fixed pot system in which the tools are always stored in the same pot location.
A standard rear discharge chip removal system includes a wide center trough with high volume chip flushing chute and premium lift-up chip conveyor. The chip conveyor is equipped with a drum filter, magnetic separator, and cyclonic filtration and easily handles chip types from aluminum fines to cast iron sludge.
The Fanuc 31iM-B Plus control is standard to provide you with reliable state-of-the-art controllers and the latest in servo and spindle technology. The ENSHU HMI provides easy to use screens for set-up, troubleshooting, and machine maintenance.
