The Vision Wide SF Series Double Column Machining Center with the new Fanuc 0IMF + Plus Control is one of Vision Wide’s best-selling models, with the capacity for small to medium size high precision parts the medium/heavy duty machine with symmetrical dual vertical columns and heavily ribbed base and headstock to reduced thermal deformation and vibration with increased rigidity and accuracy in all types of machining. All SF-Models are equipped with friendly HMI interface, Dual-Contact spindles, 3-rail Y-axis roller ways and a dual filter 300 PSI through spindle coolant system, dual chip augers and lift up style chip conveyor for excellent chip evacuation.

The X and Y axes are a heavy duty roller way design with the standard Z-Axis of box way style with Turcite B applied to mating surfaces and hand scraped for perfect fit and alignment. The X, Y and Z ways are completely guarded and are a forced timed lubrication system to assure high accuracies and smooth machining. The precision class 3 ball screws are either driven directly or via reducer gears eliminating the need for belts.

The standard spindle is a 30-minute rated 35HP 6,000 RPM 2-speed gear drive with CAT 50 taper, it is a terrific all-purpose work horse spindle with great cutting characteristics and high reliability.

The true style built in transmission is made of high quality Japanese JIS-0 precision gears assuring heavy cutting with no compromises. The combination heavy duty spindle and headstock design can endure high axial and radial loads achieving tremendous torque loads of over 600-900NM. providing the power for heavy duty machining. Other optional spindles available are a Direct Drive 10,000RPM 60HP peak BBT-50 Spindle, and a 6,000RPM 50HP 1517NM high Torque 2-speed spindle that will handle a wide range of machining capabilities.

The ATC magazine stores 32, 40, 60 or 90 tools depending on model and options needed. The simple double arm configuration is highly reliable and robust, making for automatic tool changes of tools weighing up to 40 plus pounds.
